Free Workshops Support Education Leaders with Technology Integration – San Diego County Office of Education

The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is offering a series of free, online workshops created to improve the technology knowledge, communication, and efficiency of educational leaders.

By participating in the Ready 2 Go workshops, district leaders, principals, vice principals, and aspiring administrators can walk away with new skills, useful plans for moving forward, and an improved ability to lead through example with technology integrations.

“The global pandemic changed the ways that school communities engage with learning and communication technologies,” shared Pamela Rabin, SDCOE educational technology coordinator. “As schools return to in-person learning, it’s important to continue to leverage technology towards personalized learning, inclusive school environments, and to connect all students with their local community, culture, heritage, and the larger global community.”

The series of five one-hour workshops were designed by SDCOE’s Educational Technology team as a hands-on and low-pressure setting for learning that provides opportunities for individualized attention.

They will be held Sept. 22, Oct. 6, Nov. 10, Jan. 5, March 2, and July 7. Topics include using agile project management skills in educational settings, incorporating computer science, hosting virtual open houses, and using the extend-enhance-engage framework with educational technology. Participants can choose all the sessions or only the ones that interest them most.
