BlueHalo further builds out exec team with new hire

BlueHalo has tapped Patrick Markus, a 20-year veteran of the federal market, to lead its cyber and intelligence business.

The bulk of his career was spent at Northrop Grumman, where he spent 17 years and led an effort to enter the data analytics market. Prior to BlueHalo, Markus was an executive at Dovel Technologies and before that a program manager at LGS Innovations.

“We are thrilled to have Patrick round out the BlueHalo executive leadership team. His technical expertise combined with mission understanding will enable the team to continue to add value to the nation’s hardest problems,” said Katie Selbe, chief operating officer of BlueHalo.

BlueHalo is a relative newcomer to the federal market as a private-equity backed platform but its pieces have a much longer history.

The company was formed in October 2020 when Arlington Capital Partners rolled together several acquired businesses to create BlueHalo. It is focused on technology and engineering services in areas such as space, directed energy, missile defense, cybersecurity, intelligence and C4ISR.

CEO Jonathan Moneymaker shared the strategy and vision for BlueHalo in a March Project 38 podcast.
